Prior to founding Nice Horizon for Mental Health, I worked in the non-profit mental health setting as a research assistant, advocate, counselor, and therapist helping our community overcome a wide range of mental health concerns and process trauma, anxiety, fear, depression, anger, grief, and distress.

I have a background in psychological research at UC Berkely, CA. I was honored with a series of distinguished awards for academic excellence throughout my academic career. In 2018, I graduated summa cum laude from San Jose State University, CA with a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters of science degree in clinical psychology. I hold a California license as a marriage and family therapist and consider myself a forever learner.

As every person and problem is unique, I tailor therapy to meet your specific needs and meet you where you are in your journey. My approach is cognitive behavioral and integrates techniques and principles from a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Humanistic Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and hands-on skill building. I have experience helping individuals, couples, families and groups overcome a wide range of personal and relational concerns.

When I'm not working, you can find me curled up with a book or renourishing with a beach picnic.

Respectfully,

In our fast-paced world, it can feel as though everyone has the answers but you, and it is easy to feel empty, lost, and unsure, and to lose sight of what really matters to you and what you value, and who you really want to be. Therapy can show you ways to slow down, to gain perspective on your life and new insight into yourself so you can learn how to develop lasting hope and satisfaction in your life.
